Secondly how annoying that your well thought out plan didnt work out, sounded so interesting too. Still at least there are plenty of recipes that you can use your frozen eggs in!!!stylesofcookinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14387043094719541508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6931698874011955238.post-20494402320935098962012-04-08T19:52:39.192+01:002012-04-08T19:52:39.192+01:00Do you think the eggs are 'treated' in som...Do you think the eggs are 'treated' in some way? Coated somehow in something? I wonder if they would have worked. I was going to make a simnel cake like Jeanie B, but no, and hot cross buns, another no. Oh yes and I also intended to spend some time making up some little bags to put little eggs in for my friends children but that too was some what hurried and not really what I'd had in mind. Still I say to myself its the thought that counts and I did think a lot just didn't get passed the thinking stage this time. Never mind there is always next year.
http://dawntheconstantcrafter.blogspot.comDawn Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10929421723029663447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6931698874011955238.post-23268122998983064512012-04-08T09:08:44.310+01:002012-04-08T09:08:44.310+01:00Just found your lovely blog. Must be something to do with 'what the customer wants'. I checked my cupboard and sure enough the eggs are a reddish brown. Actually mine seem darker than yours do.

I have no idea why the white duck eggs wouldn't take the dye though.

However, you did have a plan, and you did try, so you get a Brownie point, and a bonus point for an entertaining post!Lynhttp://www.rosiepink.typepad.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6931698874011955238.post-76190363083154522932012-04-07T21:26:49.795+01:002012-04-07T21:26:49.795+01:00Ros - at least you *had* a plan.
